The Boone County Historical Society Museum is proud to
offer a searchable archive of over 10,000 obituaries for your genealogical
research. Obituaries are valuable because they can reveal wonderful
information about your ancestors life. Our amazing team of volunteers have
spent years archiving the obituaries, death notices, and funeral notices
of Boone County residents.
While you can search our online archive
for free, we charge a fee for each desired announcement. The cost for each
copy is $5. Please be advised that early newspaper publications were
often no more than a death notice which may only be 2 lines of
information.
To Order: Send your request with NAMES and DATES of selected obituaries and the numbers of

Currently our archive is searchable by surname only.
Due to the fact that sometimes all we have is the date the obit was in the paper and not the actual death date, the dates may be off a day or two. If you notice an inncorrect date please email us so that we can correct the entry.
